Would you like to be a volunteer at this year’s Atlanta Pride Weekend 2012?

We thank you for your interest in participating in our 2012 Atlanta Pride Weekend Volunteer Program. We would love to have you as part of our team.

As you can imagine, Pride Weekend is a very hectic weekend and takes a tremendous amount of planning to execute the multitude of events and activities that take place. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to assist in this year’s event and would be very excited to have you as a part of this terrific weekend.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and must be willing volunteer a minimum of 10 hours during the course of the weekend.
Volunteers are not paid.
Volunteers will receive an all access VIP Pass for volunteering.
Volunteers will be required to attend one of our volunteer orientation sessions, which will take place on the following dates:

Sunday, August 21, 2012

During the orientation, you will be given an overall presentation of the weekend. You will have an opportunity to meet some of the individuals that have worked hard to put this weekend together. You will also receive information on the areas where volunteers are needed and/or learn the details of where you will be volunteering. In addition, you will receive information on the Volunteer Incentive Program.

Please come prepared to take a photo for your volunteer badge. This will allow you to gain access to the events for the weekend. Please remember, you must attend one of these orientations to be a volunteer with us. There are no exceptions!!!

Volunteer Rules/Regulations

Volunteer Applications must be received no later than July 31, 2012.
Volunteeers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Volunteer schedules are subject to change at the discretion of the Volunteer Program Coordinator.
Volunteers that fail to report for duty and/or conduct themselves inappropriately will not be permitted to attend events.
Volunteers must attend one of the mandatory volunteer orientation sessions.
Volunteers that volunteer at events must comply with logistics setup and breakdown schedules.
Volunteers must contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator if they are unable to volunteer on the date and time scheduled.

Acceptance/Agreement:

I agree to abide by all rules set forth by Pure Heat Atlanta and to honor instructions as deemed necessary during the event as issued by either the Festival Chairman and/or designee.

Waiver of Liability:

It is specifically agreed by the parties of this agreement that Pure Heat Atlanta, its agents, employees or assignees are in no way liable for any loss, damages or theft of any property belonging to the volunteer while on the site, grounds and area of any event. The volunteer specifically acknowledges that Pure Heat Atlanta does not provide any insurance and accepts no responsibility for any such loss whether the said loss is by accident, act of God, intentional act of destruction or theft. Pure Heat Atlanta cannot guarantee volunteer’s protection from loss or insure against loss for any reason. Volunteer hereby waives any claim for incidental or consequential damages or compensation resulting from accident, incident, and/or injury during and in the course of participataion as a volunteer.

This agreement is binding and cannot be misconstrued by any court and/or jurisdiction. Volunteers shall not have the right to assign, share or sublet this agreement or any interest in this agreement, and this agreement shall not be assignable by operation of law without the consent of Pure Heat Atlanta.

The undersigned has read and agrees to all the terms set forth above, as well as the terms of any attached addenda.
